 Phonics

Pronunciation

Reading

Speaking

During our Phonics session, we will teach you:

· To read, identify and use different sounds that distinguish one word from another. Students will learn to master the sounds of individual letters, and how those letters sound when they're combined with other letters.

· To understand sound-letter relationships. Students will learn and understand the sounds each letter makes, and how a change in the order of letters changes a words pronunciation and meaning.

· To develop reading comprehension to decode new and unfamiliar words. Students will learn to read whole words by sight so that they can easily understand the overall meaning of words while reading.

Our Phonics sessions are child-centred, scientifically researched, fun and enjoyable by both teachers and children.

Cambridge Syllabus

Our classes are structured based on Starters, Movers & Flyers by Cambridge, and are backed by extensive research to help children develop language skills to build

confidence for their future success.

The Starters, Movers & Flyers syllabus can be seen as three levels :

Pre A1 Starters is the first of three levels that introduces everyday written and spoken English to children. Starters is focused on building the skills needed to communicate effectively through listening, speaking, reading and writing .

A1 Movers is the second of three levels and it focused on helping your child understand basic information and follow basic instruction. A1 Movers will teach your child to take part in basic conversation and understand sound-letter relationships.

A2 Flyers is the third and final level that will help your child understand simple written English and use basic phrases and expressions. A2 Flyers will teach your child to communicate in familiar situations and interact with other English speakers.

Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers can provide a reliable and consistent way for any child to develop language skills starting from scratch. Our class is designed to help children achieve internationally recognised standards of English.

Listening and writing practice

Our classes include a listening and writing session where students have to write down as they listen to an audio piece. This teaches students handwriting skills and encourages them to become proficient listeners.

Handwriting is an important part of literacy and an essential skill in life. Writing allows children to express themselves and communicate with the world around them, therefore it is vital every child is taught at a young age.

Join us now so that your child can learn the basis of language development, so that they may be on their way to greatness!
